Seminar of the AEAJ Working Group on Taxation in Bratislava
AEAJ WG Taxation seminar
Bratislava, Slovakia | 1-2 October 2026
The AEAJ Working Group on Taxation held its annual seminar on 1-2 October 2026 in Bratislava, generously hosted by the Supreme Administrative Court of the Slovak Republic (Najvyšší správny súd Slovenskej republiky).
The
seminar, entitled “Unified Fundamental Rights vs. Diverse National Procedures: Tax Litigation Across Member States” brought together 35 participants.
The seminar included presentations and high-level panels on:
- Protection of Privacy, Transparency and Tax Secrecy;
- Protection of Property and the Principle of Proportionality;
- Right to a Fair Trial and the Role of Courts in Applying Fundamental Rights.
The programme combined legal
discussions with social activities, including a group dinner and a guided tour of Bratislava historic center.
AEAJ welcomes its encounter with Slovakian colleagues not only from the SAC (created in 2021) but also from the three regional administrative courts of first instance (created in 2023).
