The Advisory Group decided to draw a consistent
line of argumentation on the issues raise in several States on the adequate remuneration of judges. The study provides an assessment of the International and European standards
and legal requirements and on criteria developed in European and national jurisprudence It defends that ppropriateness
of remuneration can only be assessed through objective criteria.
